Professor Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), will present the book “The Middle Corridor: Navigating Current Realities and Embracing Future Prospects” in Brussels, the capital of Belgium.
The presentation will take place on November 24, 2025, during a conference on the “Middle Corridor” hosted by the European Institute for Asian Studies (EIAS). The international conference will focus on the role of the Middle Corridor as a strategic bridge between East and West, its significance in the development of integrated transport and energy connectivity, and the opportunities in innovation and green logistics. Participants will also gain insights into the geopolitical importance of the corridor, its role in fostering international cooperation, and new opportunities for education, scientific research, and private sector engagement.
The publication was developed through CAERC’s collaboration with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the CAREC Institute (Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation). The book explores the Middle Corridor both as a transport-transit route and as a platform for global economic and political cooperation. Authored by 22 scholars from 10 countries — Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, China, the United Kingdom, Serbia, Pakistan, Austria, Spain, and Mexico — the book was published in English by the prestigious University Press Târgu Mureș.
The internationally significant book “The Middle Corridor: Navigating Current Realities and Embracing Future Prospects” was previously presented at the Polish Economic Forum and at Ludovika University of Public Service in Budapest.
