The Agricultural Research Center under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, established on the basis of the Research Institute of Agricultural Economics which has been operating since 1962.
The Research Institute of Agricultural Economics under the Ministry of Agriculture was reorganized, according to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev dated 22.05.2018, as the Agricultural Research Center (within the status of a public legal entity).
Our mission is the formation of agro databases, carrying out analysis, evaluation and forecasting, and preparation of recommendations for agricultural policy, programs, projects and innovative development mechanisms.
The objective of this institutional reform is to re-shape the research institute with a history of almost 60 years into a “Think Tank” that provides an analytic framework and conducts necessary scientific studies to meet the requirements of the modern phase of agricultural reforms being carried out and also to improve agricultural politics on the basis of global challenges.
Currently, the creation process of the Agricultural Research Center continues based on a new mission, new principles of affairs, new positions, innovative methods, and modern technologies.
