{"id":477,"date":"2024-06-04T10:06:14","date_gmt":"2024-06-04T06:06:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/think-tanks.az\/eng\/?p=477"},"modified":"2024-11-04T10:08:08","modified_gmt":"2024-11-04T06:08:08","slug":"baku-brings-about-creating-renewable-energy-plants-with-masdar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/think-tanks.az\/eng\/archives\/477","title":{"rendered":"Baku brings about creating renewable energy plants with Masdar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Agreements for green energy projects totaling 1,000 MW in installed capacity have been signed during the visit of Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar Company, to Baku,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.trend.az\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trend<\/a>\u00a0reports via the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_ad jeg_ad_article jnews_content_inline_ads  \">\n<div class=\"ads-wrapper align-right \"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>Specifically, an \u201cAddendum to the Investment Agreement\u201d was signed between the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, Azerenerji OJSC, and Masdar Company of the United Arab Emirates for the Bilasuvar solar power plant (SPP) with a capacity of 445 MW, the Neftchala SPP with a capacity of 315 MW, and the Absheron wind power plant with a capacity of 240 MW in Garadagh.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Additionally, the Garadagh wind farm project, the power purchase agreement, the \u201cConnection to the Power Transmission Network\u201d agreement, and the \u201cLand Lease Agreement\u201d were also approved.<\/p>\n<p>The documents were signed by Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Azerenerji President Balababa Rzayev from Azerbaijan, along with Masdar Company\u2019s Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi.<\/p>\n<p>The parties also discussed the participation of both state companies in the extractive sectors of the two countries and cooperation within COP29.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Agreements for green energy projects totaling 1,000 MW in installed capacity have been signed during the visit of Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar Company, to Baku,\u00a0Trend\u00a0reports via the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.
