The Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) held an event on the topic \u201cDiscussion of President Ilham Aliyev`s speech in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan: An independent and principled foreign policy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Addressing the event, Farid Shafiyev, AIR Center\u2019s Chairman of the Board, highlighted President Ilham Aliyev`s speech during the first meeting of the 7th convocation of the Milli Majlis. He emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev outlined Azerbaijan’s foreign policy priorities and adequate mechanisms for responding to emerging security challenges against the backdrop of the current global and regional crises.<\/p>\n
During the panel discussion on the theme “The foreign policy line of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the geopolitical situation”, the speakers highlighted Azerbaijan`s determined foreign policy and the support provided to Armenia by some European countries, which pose a major threat to ensuring lasting peace and tranquility in the South Caucasus.<\/p>\n
The panel session on “Parliamentary diplomacy and Community of think tanks” featured the role of parliamentary activity in forming and implementing foreign policy, as well as think tanks` contribution to these processes.<\/p>\n
