The Institute for Development and Diplomacy (IDD) at ADA University is pleased to announce the publication of the Spring 2025 edition of Baku Dialogues, its flagship English-language quarterly policy journal.<\/p>\n
This latest issue brings together analytical contributions from leading local and international experts who explore some of the most pressing political, economic, and geopolitical challenges of our time.<\/p>\n
Headlining the edition is a feature article titled \u201cBuilding the Middle Corridor\u2019s Future\u201d, which presents an in-depth examination of a proposal for a Trans-Caspian Development Bank. Co-authored by experts from the United States, Hungary, and Azerbaijan, the article outlines regional financial mechanisms aimed at transforming the Middle Corridor into a competitive, sustainable trade and transport route.<\/p>\n
Another key section, \u201cTwo Contemporary Dangers: Terrorism and Extremism,\u201d focuses on the evolving threats to international security and stability. The articles in this section analyze the influence of non-state actors and highlight emerging trends in global counterterrorism efforts.<\/p>\n
The issue also includes a thought-provoking piece on statelessness, offering critical insights into the challenges faced by stateless populations in Europe and Central Asia, and proposing potential policy solutions.<\/p>\n
Additionally, this edition features a review of “An Ambassador\u2019s Manifesto”, authored by Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev, Rector of ADA University.<\/p>\n
Damjan Krnjevi\u0107 Mi\u0161kovi\u0107, Director for Policy Research, Analysis & Publications at IDD, offers a thoughtful review of the book, in which Rector Hafiz Pashayev, the very first ambassador of Azerbaijan to the U.S., reflects on his years of diplomatic service and draws compelling parallels between the early years of Azerbaijan\u2013U.S. relations and their current trajectory.<\/p>\n
